There are animal problems prevalent in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

There are no limits to the kinds of animals that can be found bothering residents in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

There have been squirrels in the residential attic for months. We were able to identify them by scat, activity time, and the sounds we heard.  We do have some photos. They appear to have gnawed a hole in the top plate to gain access from the wall to the attic. We placed some traps with cheese but the squirrels did not bite; maybe it’s not close enough to where they gather, or maybe they don\\\'t like cheese?           -Jared P

We have noticed vole holes near our window wells and near what used to be our sandbox. We\\\'re working on turning the sandbox into a patio. We noticed them inside the sandbox for the first time about a month ago. We set out conventional traps with peanut butter as bait with no results. I\\\'ve noticed the feces are back at the back of our pantry. I need your help for my lawn and to get them out of our pantry. Thank You.    -Anderson G

I heard a noise in the wall about 2 a.m. Then at 5 a.m. I could hear loud crunching inside the bathroom wall as if the rats were eating the drywall. I thought our rat problem had been solved as I have had all foundation vents replaced with stainless steel mesh. Traps were set. I had a contractor seal up under the bathroom with where the plumbing comes into the house with steel wool and calking. Perhaps a rat was trapped then. There are roof vents that are not screened and a vent in the upper exterior wall that is open. I want this rat problem solved soon!    -Rachel B

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Bloomfield Hills and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

For pigeon and bird control, bat removal, or relief from other pest animals, call our wildlife management experts. Many nuisance wildlife companies offer critter capture and control; our wildlife operators provide professional pest wild animal management. We remove the following AND MORE:

  • Bats from attics, eaves and belfries
  • Pigeons from rooftops
  • Swallow nests from eaves, stucco, log siding, and exterior walls
  • Voles that tear and dig up lawns and destroy root systems

Bloomfield Hills Wild Animal Control News, Stories, Events and Alerts

Raccoons are rampant in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

There is something digging through trashcans, chewing in walls, and scrimping up trouble in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

We have several large raccoons that have chewed through our woodshed and apparently have been seeking shelter in there over the winter. They are not afraid of us.. The raccoons now come up to our patio door and try to get into our kitchen. We really need help ASAP, please. We are afraid to go in our backyard. I have 2 young daughters with a play set out in the yard.  They also get into our garbage bins on a daily basis.            -Caroline S

We started hearing scratching a couple weeks ago and finally noticed a raccoon head pop out of a hole he had made in the corner, under the roof. We thought it was a cat (we heard purring) that had got in, somehow, until we saw the raccoon & the hole.  We would like to have it removed as soon as possible before anything (or at least anything else) is damaged.        -Tyler K

There is a family of raccoons that has been in the area for a few years and recently they have taken up residence in the space between my neighbors and our building. It is an adult, a baby (who is able travel by itself) and either a juvenile or another adult. Over the past couple of weeks they have grown bolder and are coming in our area earlier in the evening. We have small dogs and don\\\'t want an incident between the animals.         -Liberty P
